Which of these things does not belong?
Raegen is in a tie "fix".
When we go to church, he MUST wear a tie.
Or so he thinks.
Billy and I tried our best to persuade him not to wear his tie on Sunday
{did you notice that it doesn't match?! Not even a little!!},
but he would have none of it
and finally put it on himself!
Who are we to deny a self-tying,
tie-wearing,
church-going kid
the right to accessorize??
I'm not sure if this is just a "Sunday" issue,
or if we'll face the same insistence on Wednesday.
We'll know tomorrow night!!

VBS Family Night
Raegen's week of VBS concluded last night with a presentation for family and friends.
Raegen had quite a crowd of his own.
My parents drove over to see him as well as the Fason's and Kibbie.
He was quite upset that he couldn't sit with Papaw during the presentation.
When the children marched in he was wailing, pointing, and hollering "Papaw! Papaw!".
It was definitely one of those, "yes, that's my child" moments.
Raegen's age group, the 2 & 3 year olds, was first to perform.
I was thankful the hollering was over and didn't mind that he didn't sing a lick
and kept his hand in his mouth the ENTIRE time.
As you can tell from the above picture, we weren't seated very close, but it was a good thing he couldn't easily see us...know what I mean?! :)
It seems he is known as the "hey!" boy.
It does seem to be a fave word for him though I encourage
him to expand his vocabulary with "hello", "hi", "help please", etc.
They told a story of earlier in the week when the kids were outside playing.
Raegen was riding a tricycle and fell off.
He just layed there on his back yelling,
"HEY! HEY! HEEEEY!!!"
Raegen and his entourage.
Uncle Frank & Auntie Mari Fason, Raegen, Mimi & Papaw,
and Mrs. Kibbie & baby Jonathan ;)
Thanks so much for coming to support Raegen!
{and if you want to know why my poor mother is squinting, it's because she's been battling a terrible eye infection for 3+ weeks now...I had promised her I wouldn't use the camera flash because we were outside, but I guess I lied...sorry mom!! Thanks for suffering for the sake of a good picture! :)}

V-B-B-eh-S
Raegen has been so excited about VBS today.
Yesterday we found out there was a special class just for his age
and we told him he would get to go to VBS today.
He's been saying,
"V-B-B-eh-S"
all day!!
It's so stinkin' adorable.
I grew up going to Vacation Bible School and I'm thrilled that Raegen and many other children still have that opportunity.
Of course I couldn't help but take my camera tonight
and snap a few pics of his first day at "school". ;)
Raegen's night-night buddy...
The Fason's were over this weekend and Raegen set up camp with Bro. Frank. Raegen has a nightly, okay daily, ritual of playing "night-night". He retrieves his two blankets, stuffed dog, and pillow from his bed and crawls up in the chair with me or Billy. It's adorable, but he doesn't stay put for long. Billy tried to secretly snap this picture of BF and Raegen, but they noticed him at the last minute.

Check out my new system for commenting. MckMama changed over a few days ago, then Angie Smith did today...so I had to jump on board too!! Didn't know I could! :) I thought for sure it was a service I'd have to pay for...forget that!...but nope, it's F-R-E-E, that spells free!
I love it. Do you?? You can either register with Disqus or use your Twitter or Facebook account. For a quick looksee, see the previous post, test 6. I used all three accounts and commented on that post. It's a pretty neat service that allows myself or readers to reply to your comments. Be sure and check the box that says "do not subscribe to all comments" or you will receive an email every time someone comments. Or, if you're bored with nothing to do, check "subscribe to all comments"!! Let me know what you think. Thanks!!
A roaring good time...
Saturday we attended a birthday party for one of Raegen's friends, Christopher.
It was DINO-mite!
Seems Melissa's cake classes paid off... ;)
Everywhere I turned I saw dinosaurs!
ROARRRRRRRRR!!!!
Dusty would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the kiddos
that worked so diligently at finding him some "dino-bones"!
Happy Fourth Christopher!
Should I tell you my husband was yelling, "Make him pay!"
and other encouraging phrases for the kiddos...
Melissa's a great party planner and hostess
{did I mention she made her own paper mache dino-eggs?! Yes, she did!}.
We couldn't have had more fun if it were cooler...okay, now that's just a lie!
'Cause it was H-O-T-T! :)
Despite the heat, a good time was had by all. Thanks for the fun!

Time to Shower Baby Madelyn
Madelyn Ann was showered with gifts on Saturday. She is due to arrive mid-July.
guess the poop....
Luke is a few months younger than Raegen, but you would never guess it by his size. He's a tall boy, but he gets it honest...as does Raegen!! Luke picked out this doll and rattle by himself for the "baby".

This blanket was beautiful. It's hard to see in this picture, but the animals are all cross-stitched...talk about time consuming!! It was beautiful.

Congrats Rob, Deb, and Luke!! We're also anxious for Madelyn's arrival. ;)

Chic Little Birdee Bird ;)
I've added some pictures to my Chic Little Birdee album in facebook, click here to view.

The adds were all gifts for my friend Debbie and her baby girl, Madelyn Ann. I'll be adding some pics from the shower to the blog soon {and by soon I do not mean tonight! ha}.

Floatin'..., Floatin'..., Floatin' on tha rivah....
We headed north last weekend to visit with Billy's family and do a little floatin' with some friends. We stopped half-way to our destination and had lunch at a quaint cafe.
He also shared his dessert, apple sauce.
After lunch we walked across the street to a local bakery and picked up some delicious cookies. I believe this will be our new "normal" when traveling north. :)
Raegen came along with Nonnie {we're trying new names here, and it seems Nonnie is one that Raegen can say and likes!!} and Pawpaw to drop us off.
Uh...yuck.
Raegen & Pawpaw
We had a nice 3 1/2 hour float. The weather was perfect, and the water level couldn't have been better. At one point we put down our paddles and drifted with the current. It was so relaxing. I did find it hard to be without my camera though!
While we floated, Raegen enjoyed having Nonnie's toys all to himself!!
After our float we headed down to "The Point" for some icecream and to have a looksee at the helicopter that crashed into the river. For further details on the crash, click here. We missed seeing it with our own eyes by one day, the following pictures are courtesy of Today's THV.
The water level is higher than normal due to recent rainfall, but there are still many spots that are dangerous to jump from because of the large rocks just below the surface.
This is the top of the bluff, where we were walking. I thought it looked really neat...I'm assuming the texture is a result of rain over the years...as there are no nearby tress to provide shelter.
Derek & Billy believe the top of the bluff to be about 30 feet high. In this picture you can see a gentleman on the edge of the bluff, about 15 feet high.
After we got back and showered, Robby and the fam showed up. Coincidentally, he and Mike had a golf tourney the same weekend!
It was fun for Raegen to see and play with his cousins.
Alyssa is having a big princess birthday party tomorrow, but we won't be able to make it. {Hopefully Amber will take plenty of pics!}
Doesn't she just look like a princess?? :)
Raegen, Alyssa, Annelise, & Owen
What a way to end the day...bath time!
Nonnie gave Raegen a bath in her big tub.
Bath time makes Raegen a happy boy!

Sugar and Spice or Snakes and Snails?
Poll has closed. It's a BOY!!!
Take the poll located on the right side of the screen. Will we be having another baby boy or a baby girl? What do you think?
If it's any help, I haven't had any dreams {like I did with Raegen, dreaming I was having a boy} and I just don't have that "feeling" with this baby. I did have severe morning sickness that lasted through week 15, quite unlike my mild morning sickness that ended at week 12 with Raegen. That info may help or confuse you more! I'm anxious to see what everyone else thinks we're having.
