Happy Birthday Justin!!
Happy 27th Birthday to my favorite brother, Justin!! :)
{I'm posting this from a friend's computer b/c
mine won't let me online! Therefore, I have no pictures to post. :( }
Yes, yesterday was my sister's birthday and today is my little brother's! They are exactly three years and one day apart. Three kids in three years. :) I had hoped I'd be able to have children close in age like my siblings and I are, but it seems the Lord has another plan.
I hope your birthday is wonderful Justin!!

Happy 30th Birthday Stacy!!
I love my sister and to me, everything she touches is gold.
No, I don't worship her, but I do admire her, GREATLY.
She's a great example of a
Christian,
wife,
mother,
sister,
daughter,
and friend.
She has accomplished a great deal in her mere thirty years, the greatest I believe she would say are her children {though we both know God had an even greater hand in that task!}. Most folks probably assume she's much older because of the things she's seen and done, but truth is, she's just a youngin' like the rest of us! In fact, she's just a mere 3 1/2 months older than Billy {I know! Most folks think he's much older too, but that's another blog for another time!!}. I hope I haven't embarrassed her completely, I'm just so proud of her.
Happy Birthday Stacy!

Splishin' and a Splashin'
Monday evening Raegen and I headed over to
Aunt Amber's and cousin Ashlyn's for a dip in the cement pond.
We were joined by Raegen's buddies {and Ashlyn's other cousins!}, Jayson and Christopher. It was early evening so the sun was going down and the weather was perfect. Raegen enjoyed watching Christopher jump in the pool and before long he was trying it himself. I'm anxious to get him back in swim lessons this summer. I better do it soon or the summer will be gone!!
Thanks for inviting us over Aunt Amber. We had a splashin' good time!

10 little monkeys...
Raegen and I had our first experience with playgroup on Thursday. I've been wanting to get him in a playgroup for sometime, but didn't know how to go about finding one. Well the Lord just laid this opportunity right in my lap, turns out there is a playgroup at our new church we just joined. How much better could it be?
If you follow me on Twitter or are a Facebook friend, you may have noticed my updates regarding playgroup yesterday. We were a little late, but ended up being the first ones there! So, at first I was concerned they had cancelled due to lack of interest, but they were all just late too! :)
Raegen, ever the social child he is, jumped right in and had a good time.
There were a few his age...
but the majority were older...

We were late so we had to sit in the back and Raegen seemed more interested in getting the attention of his storytime teacher, Miss Ann. He kept saying her name and waving, but she never did notice. It was so cute.
Raegen enjoyed sticking his finger in the opossum's ear
and tried very hard to stick his finger in its mouth too!
After library time we headed to Ms. Kib's for some R&R! We've got some work being done at the house and it's not a very restful place right now. I'm anxious for it to be over, but I expect it will be another week. We'll probably make a habit of spending nap time at Ms. Kib's! :)

Our Fourth Festivities
This year we celebrated the Fourth with our Sunday School class.
Raegen particularly enjoyed riding this "bike", as he called it.
The menu consisted of a shrimp boil and various desserts. It was mine and Billy's first experience with a shrimp boil and we LOVED it. Everything was cooked in the same pot...shrimp, potatoes, and corn! Then it was dumped on a pile of newspaper and everyone dove right in to eat! Talk about no hassle with serving dishes!
It was wonderful and there was enough left over for every family to take some home.
We pooled all our fireworks together and ended up with an amazing light show.
I had hoped to finish this cake in time to take it to the festivities, but that just didn't happen.

Raegen's buddy is TWO!
Happy Birthday Cousin Ben!!
Then...
and now!

And because I won't see you on your birthday,
here's a sneak peek at your gift...

Stacy orders all her diapering essentials at weebunz.com.
They have a great assortment of diapers and offer lots of cute prints.
She favors Bumkins and Bummis. If you go take a look, you'll see why she does!
Happy Birthday Benjamin Charles!!

I have a new friend
For someone to be a friend, do they have to know they are your friend?
Just askin'.
~
I have a new friend.
Her name is The Pioneer Woman.
Really it's Ree, but let's not get caught up on specifics.
I have heard her name thrown about the
blogosphere for quite some time,
but had no interest in seeing what all the fuss was about.
Boy have I been missing out!
And so are you!
Unless you're already her buddy.
Look what I'm making for the Fourth, {per her request!}...
Yes, she really did tell me to make it.
Just go look here on her blog.
She didn't have to say "Robin!" for me to know she was talking to me.
We're close like that.
Here's to hoping I won't eat the cake {in its entirety!}
before the festivities begin!

Mama tried, mama tried!!
Upon entering the house today I said, "Raegen, put your chair up."
{he had pushed it to the center of the walk way}
When I returned
to the living room,
this
is
what
I
saw...
said,
"put your chair
UP!""
First Fruits
Last week our garden yielded its first fruits of the season.
Since this picture was taken we've pulled a few more tomatoes and one squash. Our okra and cucumber plants are also producing now. It's so nice to have fresh, organic {does it really count as organic if the mowers have been innocently spraying the garden for weeds?! oops.}, juicy, free! vegetables.
Stop by for a big juicy sliced tomato!
Grandpa, Grandpa, how does your garden grow? :) {and any other gardeners out there!}

Sugar and Spice or Snakes and Snails?
Poll has closed. It's a BOY!!!
Take the poll located on the right side of the screen. Will we be having another baby boy or a baby girl? What do you think?
If it's any help, I haven't had any dreams {like I did with Raegen, dreaming I was having a boy} and I just don't have that "feeling" with this baby. I did have severe morning sickness that lasted through week 15, quite unlike my mild morning sickness that ended at week 12 with Raegen. That info may help or confuse you more! I'm anxious to see what everyone else thinks we're having.
