Billy had to go to southern Arkansas on Wednesday so Raegen and I went along for the ride. Because we knew it would be such a long trip we turned Raegen's carseat around with the hopes that he would fair better. As usual, he was great. :)
We stopped by Great-Grandpa's for a visit and I think Raegen appreciated the break from the car more than anyone.
"Here I come Grandpa!"
"I've got the best seat in the house!"
Billy and I helped Grandpa with some computer issues he was having and Grandpa and Raegen went for a walk.
Billy was kind enough to find time in our day to stop by my grandparents gravesite. I had to call mom and dad for directions because it's been years since I was there. Once we found the cemetery I called Mom to help us locate the headstones. Her directions were great..."Come through the main gate, take a left at the first road by the big trash can, drive approx. 1/2 mile and you'll see a big tree on your right, you're there!" It couldn't have been easier! Here Billy and Raegen are with the big tree.
It was nice to take time and remember my grandparents. My grandfather passed away when my father was a teenager so I never had the pleasure of knowing him. My grandmother passed away when I was 10 years old. I would love to know her now. It would be wonderful to sit down and have lunch with her and have her tell me all her life story. She was a wonderful Christian woman. It was a great ending to a long day.
