On Thursday the boys and I met up with Grandaddy for a fun-filled day in Little Rock/North Little Rock. We started the morning off by visiting the Union Pacific Steam Locomotive No. 844 in NLR. Aren't the boys adorable in their conductor hats?
To say the train is big, is a huge understatement! You really need to see it in person to get a true feel for how HUGE it all is.
It weighs nearly one million pounds.
ONE MILLION POUNDS!
ONE MILLION!!!!
Our Witcher cousins and their friends were also there viewing the train.
Notice the state capitol in the background...
The River Rail is a great way to get around downtown Little Rock and the River Market area. A day pass is only $2 and children under 4 ride free. Once the trolley reaches the end of the rail, the conductor simply walks to the other end of the car and the back is now the front! You can choose to ride the trolley facing backwards or easily "flip" your seat. Notice the gold handle at the top of each seat back? You simply lift up and move the seat back to the other side.
and gave Raegen a chance to get up close and personal with several animals.
We dined at Bill St. Bar & Grill...great food and great prices! Just $6 buys a half-pound grilled burger and fries. It was served HOTT! I would definitely dine there again. We finished our day at the World of the Pharaohs exhibit at the Arkansas Arts Center.
There is so much more to see and do in the River Market area. I hope to take the boys back soon.
