Raegen had his first trip to the dentist on Monday. I chose the local pediatric dentist because obviously it's "kid friendly". The waiting room was full of fun things for kids, including a huge fish tank and a funny house mirror. It was decorated in bright colors and naturally, there were plenty of kids to play with! Raegen made a lot of new friends, not surprising since he practically walks up to anyone and grunts for them to pick him up!
Raegen now has 12 teeth, with two more that have already cut but are not in completely. I called 2-3 months ago and this was the earliest appointment available!
Here he is with Nurse Cindy. She put the head phones on his head so he could hear the TV that's located in the ceiling above the table. He wasn't sure what to think about that.
Open wide, big guy!
The doc said everything looked great and Raegen was "right where he needed to be". And, in line with Raegen's pediatrician, commented that the thumb sucking issue just isn't an issue right now. Like any good patient, Raegen got a toothbrush and tube of toothpaste. We're due for a check-up in 6 months.
