24 weeks and feelin' fine!

I am now 24 weeks preggars and feeling GREAT!!

I definitely have a bump, bump, BUMP, but it's not causing any sleep issues. In fact, sleeping positions hadn't even crossed my mind until my chiro asked me yesterday if I was having trouble sleeping. I lent my "Snoogle" to a family member that is prego and I haven't thought another thing about it!

The only issue I have now is the occassional heartburn {sour stomach}...nothing a few TUMS can't cure! I do have moments where I feel wore out, but I'm not sure if that's not just life. ha Taking care of a four year old and "almost" one year old can wear you down whether you're prego or not! :)

Our slab was poured today for our house so we are still on track to settle into our new home before baby arrives. That alone helps me sleep better at night!

22 weeks...the snow made me do it!

I just HAD to get a picture of this 22 week bump and all this WONDERFUL snow!!

{we received almost SEVEN inches at our house, but other parts of the state received over TWO FEET!!}

My belly really "popped" last Wednesday {21 weeks} and there is no hiding it! Not that I would want to, but I certainly don't have a choice anymore. ha
This baby moves ALL the time. I hope that means she's burning some kcals and will be a mere 7lbs or so!! I have doctor's appointment on Monday {Valentine's Day!!} and I *might* get another US. So....if it is confirmed that we definitely have a baby girl in there, B just *might* let me start talking names. MIGHT!! :)
I am feeling GREAT!!! Of course I have the occassional heartburn, and sometimes a little naseau, but compared to my friends that often find themselves hospitalized during their pregnancies...that is NOTHING! Pregnancy is definitely not for wimps!
I've been walking a couple times a week with my friend Kibbie, but she had her baby yesterday so it will be a while before she picks that habit back up!! So...I'm going to try to do it on my own...or if anyone out there wants to join me, COME ON!!! My goal is to try to walk EVERY DAY and hopefully prevent having yet a THIRD large baby. I've never had gestational diabetes and my babies have never had sugar issues when they were born, they're just large...I guess they just hold on to EVERYTHING I eat!! So, hopefully a little daily walking will produce a nice, seven or eight pounder!

20 weeks...chuggin' along

First, a look back...
THEN

and THEN again...

and NOW!

OH my babies.
We always keep our lips sealed for the first 12, 13, and in this case almost 16 weeks, so the first 20 weeks really does fly by for me. This is such a good stage because I'm past all the morning sickness, extreme fatigue, and unneccessary worry and I'm not to the uncomfortableness, unbearable sour stomach, and inability to roll over in bed without help just yet. ha!!
Baby girl is like her brothers and is on the move at all times. I felt her for the first time at 14 weeks. I was in the church nursery rocking Lynden to sleep and it's as if she was kicking him and saying, "Get off me!!" haha It felt like she kicked three times, waited a few seconds, and did it all over again. It was so hard to not scream out,
"I just felt my baby kick for the first time!!!"
With Raegen I was almost 21 weeks before I felt him move {also in church...I looked over at Billy and whispered, "I just felt the baby move!" and he mumbled something about how I needed to be paying attention to the sermon...oops} and with Lynden I was 16 weeks.
I am feeling good and in the mood to tackle some projects that have been on the back burner.
A friend has given me a GORG!!! bedding set for our baby girl {in the event she doesn't turn into a boy} and I am sooo anxious to get started on a nursery!! BUT, we are in the process of building so that really throws a wrench in my plans. ha So, I'm busy dreaming up wonderful ideas for a baby girl nursery. We should break ground next week and if all goes according to plan, and you know how plans are!, we should be in our new home just in time for baby to arrive. And keep in mind, I likely have 22 or 24 weeks of pregnancy left...{maybe more!} ;)

Survey says...

I had my 18wk 5day {haha} ultrasound yesterday. Here the boys and I are just moments before we learned the big news...

and just after with the hubs and my dad.

The pollsters predicted a girl and they were correct!! It's a future of pink for the Stain fam. I immediately sent a text out to everyone in my phone that read, "Survey says: "it's a GIRL!" I should have chosen different words because I confused a few folks with my "blog poll/survey". ha They thought I was simply sending out results from that...not the "OFFICIAL" results. ;)
The US tech was REALLY sweet and certainly took her time, but it was just her second day at the clinic and she was VERY nervous!! When we had the boy's ultrasounds it was VERY apparent they were boys and I expected the same with yesterday's US. However, the tech would only say
"possible girl"
and
"I'm never wrong and it appears to be a girl, but save your receipts"
WHAT?
I NEED to know!!
haha
There are sooo many decisions to be made. There was nothing blocking the view and it certainly "appears" to be a girl, but she would not confirm with 100% confidence that it is indeed a girl. She said she was 80% sure. {Because there is ALWAYS a chance that a boy could be laying a certain way and give the illusion of girl parts, the tech didn't want to say 100% either way. But the three "lines" that they look for to determine if it's a girl, were there. So, it's a girl...
with a 20% chance it's a boy. haha}
My doc was a little disappointed as well and said that next month, if possible, he'll send me down to see the "tried and true" US tech that's been there for years for a second opinion.
Although, in his opinion, it's a girl as well!
So, IT'S A GIRL!!
{for now...}
And Billy won't play the name game with me. boo. So there's really nothing else to report.
And he won't tell me when he will be willing to discuss names so blah, blah, blah...
But because I had Gymbucks I HAD to spend, I went ahead and bought Miss ? some super cute outfits for next winter. And I spent almost all night yesterday and all day today browsing the internets for adorable baby girl clothing. LOVE!!!
{I need a job...correction, I need a job that pays!! haha}

17 weeks, 6 days, and 7 hours, but who's counting...

Well, it's fbo {facebook official} so I guess it's time I posted it on the blog...
We're gonna have a baby!!
{yes, again} ;)

I've had all the typical pregnancy symptoms...nausea, heartburn, extreme fatigue...the works.

Are you looking for my bump? It's coming...slowly, but surely. It usually appears around week 18 and then BAM! people start asking, "twins or triplets?"

So I'm enjoying my bumpless bump, because it's just a matter of time. haha

One thing that has been different than my other two pregnancies...
no weight gain.
In fact, I'm holding strong at -1 pound. {not purposely}
Why do I tell you this?
Because that's never happened before and will never again.
So, again, I'm enjoying that too because, it will come... haha
I've never been one to divulge my weight gain during pregnancy and I don't plan to start now. But as long as we're talking negative numbers, I don't mind to share.
{although I would not be shocked in the least if at my 18wk 5day checkup that I've gained 10 pounds!! But don't expect me to share that news either}
I will share my age though, nothing wrong with that. I'm 29. ;)
I'll be 18 weeks in less than a day
and
we'll know baby boy or baby girl in less than a week!!
My EDD is June 15th so I expect a baby no earlier than July and no later than September.
{we shall see...}

Because I had to post SOMETHING!

Don't have much time, but I wanted to post something. ;)
I created this collage on Sunday afternoon {3/14} before I laid down for my nap that turned into labor!!
The picture on the left is me on "Induction Day" with Raegen,
41w 1d, 2/20/07.
The picture on the right was taken Sunday,
41w 6d, 3/14/10.

I was really thinking I might go into labor on Monday so I wanted a similar picture to what was taken the morning I was induced with Raegen. I really didn't think that 10 hours later I would be holding my new baby boy!!
I'll be posting more pics of baby Lynden soon...for now, I'm off to enjoy a nap on my BELLY!! :)

42 weeks...well, close enough! We're DONE!

**EDIT: So the following post was scheduled for Monday morn, but baby toddler Lynden decided he could wait NO more! :).
He arrived at 11:46PM on Sunday, March 14, 2010....
weighing....
10lb 12.2oz (yes, I'm counting EVERY ounce!! Haha) He is 22" long and has a little light brown hair. Keep in mind I'm comparing him to the dark hair covered monkey I delivered three years ago. Some of you may argue he has a ton of hair. We are soooo excited he's here and I'll share more later. Good night!! (at 4:18 AM!) ;)

Wait for it...

Wait for it...

BAM!

Who thinks Raegen's smile is dwindling?
haha...I think even HE is thinking
"enough already, kid!"

He asked me to take a picture of him and his daddy...

Isn't that the best?
I had a non-stress test last week and everything looked great...better, actually than that doc had hoped. I'll have an ultrasound on Tuesday simply as a precaution {unless of course Lynden shows up first!} and if all is well we will continue to wait things out indefinitely.
Regardless, I think we're "finally" to the point where we can say with assurance,
Lynden will be here sooner than later.
hahahaha

41 weeks - Confession: I'm PREGNANT!!

Yes, it's true.
I can deny it no longer. haha
Actually, I am happy to announce...
my ankles have returned!
Woohoo!!
The really good news is,
I'm feeling AWESOME,
Lynden is doing WONDERFULLY,
and our plan to let Lynden come when he's ready is still in place.
Thank you all so very much for your many prayers.
And for those that are concerned, let me reassure you with a few things:
#1 no one has ever been pregnant for "forever!" ;)
#2 he is not "stuck"
#3 an average pregnancy is 38-42 weeks, with some surpassing 44 weeks
and
#4 my doctor nor myself would ever do anything to endanger little Lynden;
he and I are perfectly healthy and have had no complications whatsoever throughout the pregnancy and there is no reason for concern :)

40 weeks, where my baby?

Hello 40 weeks!
If you're expecting baby Lynden's arrival today...
ummm, don't hold your breath. :)

Lynden has certainly dropped some {I can tell because my ribs are no longer sore and bruised! Thank you Lynden!}, but he's still having quite the party in mommy's belly. In fact, at my appointment last week, Dr. S was trying to get his heartbeat and the little guy kept moving around. Finally, Dr. S jokingly tapped my belly and said, "stop that!"...haha!
Dr. S also looked at my cankles and said,
"Don't worry. There's an ankle in there...somewhere." :)
Did you notice the sandals in the above picture?
That's not me trying to be fashionable, that's actually my only footwear option right now!
I've contemplated making an additional hole for the buckle! It's really not fun to wear sandals in 35* weather so I'm extremely happy with the rise in temperature!!
I received some great advice from friends {drink lemon water, lay on left side, epsom salt soak, etc.} and my feet and legs are
MUCH better.
I was actually admiring them in Sunday School yesterday morning...I put it on our praise list! I'm trying to take it easy, but I'm in nesting overdrive. I purged our closets last Friday and took a few BIG bags of things to my fave store, "Toward Men" {a.k.a Goodwill}, and the local consignment store.
I even packed my hospital bag! You know, might as well...just in case. ;) ;)

This guy's gonna make a great big brother...

He's got so much to teach Lynden. Such as his "cute" face...

and these that he learned recently...

"Miss Jes-ca" from church taught him his "thinking" face...
oh.
my.
word.
HILARIOUS!
Have a great Monday...baby Lynden will be here before you can say,
"April Fool's!"

Lucky Lynden!

Tuesday night our church showered Lynden and myself with all kinds of baby goodies...
and truth be told, they showered Raegen too!

Me and my hostesses with the mostesses!!
Sara, Erin, Trish, me, Lindsay, and Lisa
The ladies did a fantabulous job of organizing, decorating, and cooking for the shower. It was really wonderful. Lisa even brought her daughter's fancy smanchy camera and sat on the floor taking pictures all night...
in her dress and heels!
Now that's a friend! :)
In case you don't know, I'm a bit of a photo-fanatic so it really meant a lot to me that she would do that.

Oh, so sweet!
The cake was made by a lady at church. She did a fantastic job and it wasn't just pretty, it was delicious too!

Oh Erin, behave! :)

Mom, Stacy, Madisyn, and Henry were able to join me and the boys for the shower. It was so nice to have them there. I'm glad they were able to meet a lot of our church family too.
Erin's giving instructions...it's the teacher in her. ;)
I'm sure she was really just practicing one of her "Domains" {it's a boring teacher joke}.

Once again, Madisyn was a fantastic helper. She kept the gifts coming so Aunt Rah didn't have to bend over and get them myself! :) Erin gave her a few pointers and then set her free. Madisyn leaned over and whispered to me, "I don't think she realizes I've done this before."
HA!

Raegen is spoiled.
It's true.
And not by his parents.
His friend, Miss Hannah, came to the shower and not only brought brother Lynden a gift, but she also brought Raegen a birthday gift!

He really thinks he's something now! :) He loves his bounce ball, though I frequently have to remind him it is for him to bounce on, not for him to throw across the room! :) I do believe in that last picture he's explaining to Miss Hannah that she's "too big!" for the ball. Oh, kids.
Trish was my "recorder" for all the gifts. If you've ever done that before, you know it's not easy. And it's definitely not easy to write neatly, but Trish did! I appreciate her perserverance and promise if I ever subject her again to an hour of random camera flashes just inches from her face, I will supply her with a nice pair of sunglasses. :)

Stacy made the above bibs {given to Lynden from his Mimi} and also a necktie onesie AND bib {pictured below}! Super cute!

One of the teens made the canvas paintings...free-hand! Now that's some talent!
Heather was my "official" paparazzi of the night, using my "new" camera {yes, I've been holding out!!}. Poor Trish wished she had brought her sunglasses!! :) Heather was quite the photog trooper too and sat right where the action was and even moved around to capture some candid shots for me. You're awesome Heather!

Can you believe I received an 8-pack of Diet Pepsi at Lynden's shower?
Talk about "knowing" a person! I also got bon-bons!! :) {B is always teasing me and telling others that I sit around all day watching Soaps and eating bon-bons!}

Mrs. Lori made created the cutest blanket... it has fabric tabs on the front to attach toys, links, etc. I've never seen anything like it and just love it. She also included an adorable wooden toy bar that I'm sure Lynden will love playing with during tummy time. The colors in this blanket match exactly to the quilt that Raegen's Nana made him when he was born...so fun and bright!

Are the above shoes not adorable?
They're "pricey" Pedipeds, but were scored for a bargain at a recent consignment sale.
Oh, talk about a woman after my own heart!
{did I mention she's as much a Diet Pepsi addict as me?!}
It was such a great night of fun and fellowship and I feel very blessed to be part of such a wonderful congregation of women.

Baby "Hai-Rae"

Saturday morning Amber, Maricela, and myself headed to help shower Ruth, Toby, and baby Hailey Rae. For those of you that don't know, Ruth's father was Billy and Amber's pastor while they were growing up. They are still extremely close to the family and when we travel home to see Billy's parents, we always stop in to visit with Bro. Kent and his family. Ruth married Toby who was once a member at the church Amber, Maricela, and myself all attended. So we're all connected in more than one way.
Amber, Ruth {baby Hailey Rae}, Robin {baby Lynden Rucker}, and Maricela
These ladies were dressed as twinks! I think they secretly called each other that morning!! :)
Ruth's estimated due date is 3/8, just one week after Lynden's...she and I know FOUR other people that are due within a week of our EDD's!

The shower was hosted by Toby's sister and aunt. They ordered the cake from a local bakery and it was soooo cute!!!

It was also really, REALLY good!!

Maricela and I had to leave early to finish prepping for Raegen's birthday party. Amber promised she would take lots of pictures for me, and she did!! However, her camera battery died right before Ruth got to our gifts...so here's a picture of them all wrapped up! :) Amber filled this cute basket with all kinds of goodness...diapers, wipes, clothes, and cutesy wall letters she decorated with pink and brown scrapbook paper. She did a great job and I know they'll look adorable on Hailey's nursery wall.

I'm not sure who gave this, but I thought it was adorable. It's a little girl's umbrella filled with baby items and all wrapped up in pink netting...what a great gift idea!

Maricela found the cutest little dresses and outfits for Hailey. Little girl's clothing is just too precious!

Raegen sent along some gifts for his little friend too...GermX {a must have!! :)}, a pink rattle, and this cute carseat toy.
Ruth and Toby live about 2 1/2 hours away so we probably won't get to visit when Hailey is born. Since I won't be able to place a big bird in her yard, I decided to make a wreath for her to hang on the hospital door and then on their front door at home.

Of course I made her a wrap!! :)

a wipe case {surprise, surprise, huh? ;)},

and a burp cloth. You know she'll need plenty of those!!
It was great to spend time with Ruth and Toby. Baby Hailey Rae is so blessed to be receiving such wonderful parents.

Sugar and Spice or Snakes and Snails?

Poll has closed. It's a BOY!!!

Take the poll located on the right side of the screen. Will we be having another baby boy or a baby girl? What do you think?

If it's any help, I haven't had any dreams {like I did with Raegen, dreaming I was having a boy} and I just don't have that "feeling" with this baby. I did have severe morning sickness that lasted through week 15, quite unlike my mild morning sickness that ended at week 12 with Raegen. That info may help or confuse you more! I'm anxious to see what everyone else thinks we're having.

Is baby #3 a boy or a girl?
