Baby "Hai-Rae"

Saturday morning Amber, Maricela, and myself headed to help shower Ruth, Toby, and baby Hailey Rae. For those of you that don't know, Ruth's father was Billy and Amber's pastor while they were growing up. They are still extremely close to the family and when we travel home to see Billy's parents, we always stop in to visit with Bro. Kent and his family. Ruth married Toby who was once a member at the church Amber, Maricela, and myself all attended. So we're all connected in more than one way.
Amber, Ruth {baby Hailey Rae}, Robin {baby Lynden Rucker}, and Maricela
These ladies were dressed as twinks! I think they secretly called each other that morning!! :)
Ruth's estimated due date is 3/8, just one week after Lynden's...she and I know FOUR other people that are due within a week of our EDD's!

The shower was hosted by Toby's sister and aunt. They ordered the cake from a local bakery and it was soooo cute!!!

It was also really, REALLY good!!

Maricela and I had to leave early to finish prepping for Raegen's birthday party. Amber promised she would take lots of pictures for me, and she did!! However, her camera battery died right before Ruth got to our gifts...so here's a picture of them all wrapped up! :) Amber filled this cute basket with all kinds of goodness...diapers, wipes, clothes, and cutesy wall letters she decorated with pink and brown scrapbook paper. She did a great job and I know they'll look adorable on Hailey's nursery wall.

I'm not sure who gave this, but I thought it was adorable. It's a little girl's umbrella filled with baby items and all wrapped up in pink netting...what a great gift idea!

Maricela found the cutest little dresses and outfits for Hailey. Little girl's clothing is just too precious!

Raegen sent along some gifts for his little friend too...GermX {a must have!! :)}, a pink rattle, and this cute carseat toy.
Ruth and Toby live about 2 1/2 hours away so we probably won't get to visit when Hailey is born. Since I won't be able to place a big bird in her yard, I decided to make a wreath for her to hang on the hospital door and then on their front door at home.

Of course I made her a wrap!! :)

a wipe case {surprise, surprise, huh? ;)},

and a burp cloth. You know she'll need plenty of those!!
It was great to spend time with Ruth and Toby. Baby Hailey Rae is so blessed to be receiving such wonderful parents.

Camo Carter

Tuesday night baby Carter and his parents were showered at church. Several ladies gave a group gift to the heathen Tennessee Volunteer fan family. They registered for the diaper bag pictured below. It is available from Walmart as well as other online stores. Just to be an aggravation, I included "Go HOGS!!" on the gift tag along with all the ladies names. ;) I was unable to attend the shower because my little king was ill, but I would have loved to have seen her face when she opened this gift. :)

The following are a few Chic Little Birdee gifts I created for baby Carter. His daddy is an avid hunter and I've noticed he has quite the camo collection {diaper bag, outfits, etc.}, so I thought I would add to his stash. :)
What better way to look dignified in camo??

Raegen sent his own gift for baby Carter...a few teethers and carseat toys. :)

Any hour now....

Great news, my friends!!
Izzy is on her way! Uncle Justin and Aunt Kristen headed to the hospital last night after Izzy let them know she was ready to come out and play. Her due date was November 10th, which is also our late Grandmother Richardson's birthday. She will be our first "Richardson" grandbaby so I always thought that was neat. Though I really don't think Izzy being born on November 10th is any longer a reality!! :) At this point, progress is slow, but everything is going well.
We visited with Justin and Kristen just Friday night and I took what just might be her last belly shot...

No folks, that is not a basketball she is hiding under her shirt...it is a baby!! :) Yes, she has taken great care of herself during her pregnancy and it shows!
Kristen also had the nursery finished so I couldn't resist taking some pictures. I'll give you a tour. To say it's adorable is an understatement.

The crib is absolutely gorgeous and Teesha's letters look amazing on the wall.

The bedding is so beautiful and soft...I wish I had a minky dot sheet on my bed! I tipped Kristen off to this wonderful business that makes custom bedding. If you are having a little prince or princess soon, you should check out Polka Tot Designs.

She also had the frames I made Izzy up on the wall...sooo cute! That center one , "Baby Girl", will soon be filled!

And here's the bow holder she recently ordered from me...a definite necessity for any girl. The picture doesn't show the right wall very well, but the phrase there says "My prince came...I call him Daddy" Precious!!

And lastly, the final wall with another Teesha original...is she talented or what?

Eli was visiting at the same time and he and Raegen had fun playing together. They are just 4 1/2 months apart.

He also enjoyed playing with Uncle Justin. Had Raegen known that on a regular basis Uncle Justin gets to drive big, big trucks and really big tractors, he may have decided to stay forever. Okay, he WOULD have decided to stay forever!
We're praying for a safe, healthy delivery for baby Izzy and Aunt Kristen. I'll be sure and keep you updated.

Showering Sean

Over the weekend I attended a shower for one of my good friends from grade school, high school, and college! {We were roommates in college too!}

Andrea is 35 weeks and anxious to have baby Sean.
I think she looks adorable!
{Though I remember what it's like to be 35 weeks...you may look adorable, but you don't feel that way! She said she absolutely agrees! :) }
Regardless, at least she looks good!
Her hostesses were April, Lindsay, and Brenda and they did a wonderful job.
The food and decorations were perfect.

The shower was held "here", but there were a few that traveled from "back home". It's always fun to see familiar faces.
This is Andrea's mom, Helen, and my best friend from day three of life, Kim. :)

It is written in my baby book that she came and visited me when I was three days old...she was six months old! Currently Kim is pregnant with a boy and exactly five days further along than myself! :) Her oldest boy and Raegen are six months apart.

Andrea got some really cute gifts. I especially liked the pattern on this bouncer and her highchair.

Click on the picture to see a close-up. The pattern is "little hoot" and it is!!

When Andrea told me Sean's nursery was "outdoorsy" I couldn't resist using this "little farmer" fabric for his wipee case.

Lindsay is another good friend from grade school, high school, and college!
We even share the same bachelor's degree!
She uses hers and I probably never will...at least not in a professional sense. :)
Brooke was able to be there too and she brought her A-dorable!!! daughter Ashlyn.

Of course no shower would be complete without a few Razorback gifts for the new baby!! This onesie also came with matching booties and bib.
GO HOGS!!!

I'm so glad we were all able to attend Andrea's shower and get a chance to catch up. We'll be having our 10 year high school reunion in a few weeks...YIKES!! How did that happen?

Sugar and Spice or Snakes and Snails?

Poll has closed. It's a BOY!!!

Take the poll located on the right side of the screen. Will we be having another baby boy or a baby girl? What do you think?

If it's any help, I haven't had any dreams {like I did with Raegen, dreaming I was having a boy} and I just don't have that "feeling" with this baby. I did have severe morning sickness that lasted through week 15, quite unlike my mild morning sickness that ended at week 12 with Raegen. That info may help or confuse you more! I'm anxious to see what everyone else thinks we're having.

Is baby #3 a boy or a girl?
