I had a big weekend planned, but my plans were changed so I had to make new plans. :) I've had "make a headboard" on my to-do list for a while. I recently bought some fabric I've had my eye on (it was 20% off for Labor Day). I didn't want it to sit around and collect dust so I talked my wonderful husband into picking me up some plywood and cutting it for me. As you can see, Raegen was there to supervise. (Don't be alarmed!! No need to call Social Services...I moved Raegen before Billy really started cutting).
"Now this is cool!"
"Look ma, I'm surfing!"
"Look ma, I'm surfing!"
I went in search of foam on Saturday as well. I was armed with a 40% off coupon so I thought I was doing great...until I got out of the car at Hancock's and realized it was a coupon for JoAnn's! whoops. I've never priced foam before so I was in for a surprise when I saw $83.99 on a piece of foam that was too small for my project...talk about sticker shock! The clerk at Hancock's gave me a great idea though. She said to buy egg crates and turn them with the bumpy side to the middle and the smoothe edges on the fabric and plywood. I was able to purchase two King size egg crates for $24!! I had enough for my headboard and then some!
So, "check, check" I can cross another project off my list...now for that stinkin' patio... ;)
