Dad's birthday is next week so we met for dinner last night to help him celebrate in style. First though, Raegen and I headed to the school to help with a few reports. I got a kick out of this message from one of his students...
After our work was done we headed over to Colton's for the birthday celebration. Stacy made him a german chocolate cake and it. was. DIVINE.
I am seriously considering nixing the whole "Raegen gets a cake in the shape of a rocket" idea for this cake instead...can you say delicioso?
Madisyn pulled a quick one on us and secretly told the waitress it was dad's birthday (I would have hoped she would have figured it out on her own though...with the cake and presents and all!! :)
The Colton's gang came out with cow bells and a full set of lungs...good job gang.
We gave dad some seat covers for his truck. It's so hard to get someone something that already has 10 of everything! :) I think he liked them though.
As we were leaving the restaurant I ran in to a friend from high school. It was really nice to see her face to face instead of just on facebook! She was kind enough to take a group picture for us....which saved us a lot of time of finding a car hood that's just the right height. kwim?? ;)
B is missing because he stayed in town to attend a surprise 60th BD party for a near and dear friend of his.

Not sure why R is being held up by his shirt collar, but I'm sure there's a good reason. ha.

German chocolate is my favorite birthday cake. My mom makes it from scratch and it is delicious!
Stacy did a good job on that one ~ it is so pretty and looks delicious, too!
