Happy Valentine's Day People!
Wednesday night in my preschool class we talked about love, where love comes from, how much God loves us, and so on. I wrote down the kid's responses to the phrase "Love is..." My favorite response was from a three year old girl, "Love is... capri suns." It was too cute.

What are your favorite Valentine memories?
I'll share two.
#1 When I think of Valentine's Day I always think of my dad coming home with a Mickey Mouse red heart shaped sucker taped onto a red heart shaped paper lace doily. My dad's a teacher and I'm pretty sure one of the clubs at his school sold them as a fundraiser. I looked forward to it every year...no guessing game there! :)
#2 When I was in the fifth grade I had a boyfriend on Valentine's Day. Somehow I talked my mom into letting me buy him a box of chocolates. ?? Don't ask. For reasons that still remain uncertain, I removed the plastic wrapping...again, don't ask why. When I got to school I opened my backpack only to realize the chocolates had all fallen out of the pretty heart shaped box and were now in the bottom of my backpack amidst pencil lead and whathaveyou. I summoned my bestie (that's 2009 language for BFF) over and we scrambled to pick up the pieces and shove them back in the box. Before we completed the clean up, my bf walked in the room and caught us red handed. I was mortified and the relationship was never the same. In fact, I think it ended at that moment.
