I've made this recipe no less than five times over the past two weeks. It's one of those perfect, fail proof, delicous recipes and I don't know why I've neglected it for so long. This is not my own, but rather a recipe from a very good friend, a mother of two boys and one girl {now that sounds familiar...}.
So, for all those that have asked recently, here it is:
Ingredients:
½ c. butter (softened)
½ c. sugar
½ c. brown sugar
½ c. creamy peanut butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
½ c. quick cooking oats
1 tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. salt
1 c. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, egg, and vanilla.
2. Add flour, oats, baking soda, and salt.
3. Spread mixture into a 9X13 pan.
4. Sprinkle chocolate chips over mixture.
5. Bake on 350F for 18-20 minutes.
6. Let cool for 10 minutes then spread on icing mixture.
Icing

2 T. creamy peanut butter
2 T. milk
