Billy's Baby: Five Weeks Old

I'm a bit behind in posting, so here are pictures from the last TWO weeks:
Day 22
Insulation, HVAC, finish roof

Day 24
Drywall Hung

We headed out to see the house progress after we finished up Lynden's birthday party. I was AMAZED at how fast this sheetrock crew was working!!! There were guys working in every room and they were constantly moving, cutting, tossing, and WORKING!!!

Day 26
Tape-Mud Drywall

The damp, humid weather made it difficult on the sheetrock guys. They ended up taking a few extra days because the mud was taking so long to dry. I'm glad they took the time to do it correctly because it looks great!!

Day 27
Choose Paint Colors
I only got to pick three colors for the house. I REALLY like my Sherwin Williams Tradewind Blue that I currently have in my living/kitchen/halls, so I chose one hue lighter for the new house main areas. It's SW6217 Topsail. My other colors were chosen from a few decorator blogs I follow. The gray/brown is SW7030 Anew Gray and will be used in the Master Bed & Bath, Jack & Jill rooms, Office, and Garage. The yellow is SW6680 Friendly Yellow and will be in the Guest Room & Bath, Laundry, and Jack & Jill Bath.

Day 28

Day 29
Brick, Mud-Sand drywall

Front door delivered

Day 30
Ran out of brick.
boo.
Our brick guys were AWESOME! Our brick salesman was too, but he didn't calculate the needed brick correctly, so we had a few days where there was plenty of work to be done, but no materials to work with! :)
Front door installed.
YAY!!!

LOVE.
it!!

Day 31
Knock-down Texture applied

Day 33
Some lower cabs installed

Brick delivered

Day 34
Brick finished, garage door hung, more lower cabs installed, correct back door hung

I'm the woMAN in charge this week since B is gone on a mission trip with the church. I won't be able to accomplish all that I had hoped, but I think I'll be able to finalize my granite order before he returns. Judging from the past few days, this is the part of the house building process where it all slows down drastically!! We're still keeping a good pace, but we've had a few minor setbacks. If one contractor is late with his area it just pushes everyone else behind too. We should still be able to finish and move in before baby girl arrives, but we're certainly not going to set any house building records!! :)

Lynden Rucker - 12 months

Lynden Rucker,
you are now TWELVE months old!!
oh. my.

It's soooo hard to believe that just one year ago I was in labor and just moments away from meeting my precious baby boy!

You are such a joy to us and we love your HUGE grin.

You now weigh 24lb 10.2oz...
{you are mostly in 18month clothing}
are 29" long and have a head circumference of 47.75cm.

You took your first step a week ago Sunday in the church nursery {3/6}. Since then you have been standing alone more and more and have taken a couple more steps. I thought you might even be walking by today, but not quite. You will take someone's hand and walk around, but you're not brave enough to venture out on your own. Baby steps. ;)
We took you to MarketPlace tonight for your birthday dinner. You were in awe over the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mess they brought you for dessert...

Thankfully you were willing to share!!!

You are still nursing twice a day, when you wake and before bed. I enjoy that quiet time we have together.

You have a great routine of sleeping 7:30p.m. to 7:30a.m. most nights. It seems your teeth interrupt our slumber about once every seven nights. Most of the time I can easily soothe you back to bed, but sometimes we end up pulling an all-nighter! You take two naps during the day. They are usually 10a.m.-12p.m. and 3p.m.-5p.m. {with Raegen!}.
You will eat mostly anything and everything in sight, but your favorite food is certainly bananas!!
You ADORE your big brother, Raegen, and just light up when he enters the room.

Of course he has the charm to make nearly anyone smile. ;)
I know you will make a wonderful big brother too!!
Happy Birthday my baby boy!!
3-14-10, 11:46p.m.

Happy Birthday, My {little} Linebacker!

My baby boy is now ONE!! We had his birthday party on Saturday at home with LOTS of family.

I went with a "circus" theme because all I could think of that Lynden REALLY likes is FOOD!! haha So a circus is perfect for that!
I used my ChalkInk pen to write a birthday message...
We served hotdogs for the kiddos and had a meat and cheese tray for sandwiches for the adults.

My printer has gone ka-put so I just had the letters for his banner printed at the photo shop on photo paper. I downloaded the free font from dafont.com
{LOVE that website!}

I LOVED his cake!! A lady from church {same lady that made Raegen's} made it for me. I just gave her a picture of a cake I liked and she worked her mad skills. It looked better than I could have hoped for and it was DELICIOUS!!!

His smash cake...

"Happy Birthday!!"

Lynden was very timid with his cake at first...

but once Daddy showed him how things are done, he had a great time!!

He received so many wonderful gifts...
My sister made these shirts and gave one to each boy for his birthday. I was so excited because their shirts she made a year ago no longer fit.

If you would like for her to make you a shirt, you can contact her here.

We got him this Radio Flyer Scoot & Zoom. I think it will be perfect on the wood floors in our new house. I'm sure he'll LOVE it!

The weather was WONDERFUL on Saturday and we got to enjoy just being outside and celebrating.

Aunt Katie got hold of the youngest member of the family, Mary Claire...

We had 28 family members present and seven that couldn't make it. A few friends dropped by that afternoon and commented,
"I thought you said it was just a small, family party?"
Ummm...don't remember using the adjective "small", but this is the smallest our family gets!! haha!! AND we are slated to have three more members join us before the summer is over!
Lynden is very blessed to have such a large, wonderful family and LOTS of cousins to play with!!! His birthday party couldn't have been any better!

Sugar and Spice or Snakes and Snails?

Poll has closed. It's a BOY!!!

Take the poll located on the right side of the screen. Will we be having another baby boy or a baby girl? What do you think?

If it's any help, I haven't had any dreams {like I did with Raegen, dreaming I was having a boy} and I just don't have that "feeling" with this baby. I did have severe morning sickness that lasted through week 15, quite unlike my mild morning sickness that ended at week 12 with Raegen. That info may help or confuse you more! I'm anxious to see what everyone else thinks we're having.

Is baby #3 a boy or a girl?
