What we've been up to...

While the house and Billy's pneumonia has caused me to fall behind in the blogging world, it hasn't affected my obsession with taking pictures. :)

Since we've been absent in the blogosphere:

Lynden introduced himself to Doritos, he's a fan...my carpet, not so much...

He also had his ONE YEAR checkup! Oh my. It's gone by so quickly.

Raegen has completed nearly two more months of preschool and even went on a fieldtrip to the Fire Station!

The boys LOVE pillow time! It doesn't matter if I'm changing sheets or making beds, if a pillow winds up on the floor, they're all over it!! Literally!

Billy left AND returned home from the Philippines...YAY! Daddy's home!!!

Lynden showed off his new skill promptly!

Some dear friends from church hosted a shower for me and baby girl AND another dear friend and her baby boy. It was soooo much fun!

I wasn't sure how to handle invitations since this is my THIRD baby, so I only gave the hostess addresses for family. So sorry if I ended up offending anyone. I'm always unsure in those situations. My mom, sister, and sister-in-law couldn't make it {because it was held during the week and they all live 1-1.5hrs away}, but they made sure their gifts were there!!! :) I'm so excited to share those in another post!! {and no, I have yet to write ANY thank you cards!!! Yes, that is TERRIBLY rude...another confession, I have yet to write ANY thank you cards for Lynden's birthday gifts too!! ugh. So very much unlike myself. Soon though...I hope!}

We introduced a new member to our family:

Mr. Benton Samuel...

I celebrated a BIRTHDAY!!! It was full of wonderful surprises! So fun!

Raegen had his dental check-up and of course Lynden and I tagged along too. ;)

No cavities!!!

And finally,

it's OFFICIAL!!!

We will be turning in our Wampus Cat blue & white for

OBU purple & gold!!!

Congratulations to one of our fave boys, Colt, on signing with Ouachita Baptist University.

We are sooooo proud of him!!!

GO TIGERS!!!!

Billy's Baby: Nine Weeks Old

Another week has passed and we are soooooo close to being finished with the house!! It officially went on the market, along with the one where we are currently living, yesterday!! Woohoo!

Day 57
Hardwood floors - Day One, Light fixtures delivered, and Billy tried to prevent the forecasted torrential downpour from raining on our septic field line parade ;)

Day 58
Granite installed!!!!, Hardwood floors finished

Day 60
Interior doors hung, stain/sand front door

Day 61
Lots of work...and workers!!, Kitchen backsplash started, plumbing fixtures installed, bedroom lights installed

Day 62
Another day with lots of workers and SUNSHINE!! Vanity lights installed, propane tank installed, backsplash completed, icemaker installed

Day 63
Garage lights hung, Living Room lights hung, Front door lacquer applied

Major work that we need to complete:
install septic system and field lines
form drive, front porch, and patio and pour/finish concrete
hang vinyl on underside of roofline and ceilings of front porch and patio
finish HVAC work - waiting on concrete slab for AC unit

Minor work:
install carpet
hang exterior lights and install garage door key pad - when vinyl is complete
hang cabinet doors and install hardware
install door hardware
complete trim around fireplace
install shower door, glass transom, and glass for upper cabs {to be done first of next week!!}
install surround sound speakers
hang window blinds
hang bathroom mirrors and other hardware {robe hooks, TP holder, etc.}
CLEAN!!!!!!!! just waiting on Entergy to hook up power...the work order went in last week, but then the state was slammed with multiple storms resulting in THOUSANDS of power outages. I do believe we're not top priority, and rightly so!! haha It's crazy to see that we've come this far in just nine weeks...and that's with lots of bad, wet weather and a severely sick General Contractor!!! ;)

We could easily be looking at a completely finished house next Friday, with the exception of the septic and drive, of course.

Billy's Baby: Eight Weeks Old

So I am VERY behind on blogging!! THREE weeks have passed since I last posted about the house.

Since then:

Billy was diagnosed with allergies and left on a mission trip to the Philippines

I was left as the woMAN in charge

Raegen was out of school for Spring Break

My dad came and helped me finish MANY, MANY projects around the house

I was very, VERY sore from working on those many projects!!

Lynden started walking

Billy returned from the Philippines and was worse for wear with his health...he returned to the doctor and they diagnosed him with asthma

Some wonderful ladies at church held a sweet baby shower for me and baby girl

We welcomed a new baby into the family

We celebrated a birthday within the family

Billy left for another trip, this time to Indiana to watch one of our favorite guys play baseball

Again, I was the woMAN in charge of the house

Billy returned home VERY sick

He made yet another trip to the doctor and it was confirmed he has pneumonia!! Work has sloooooowed drastically on the house, but we are still on schedule to be finished before baby girl arrives. Our greatest concern is the ground being too wet to put in our septic system. I "think" we have decided to dig a few trenches to drain the ground where needed and get that in place ASAP {before another BIG rain!!}. If that can get accomplished we could realistically be "move-in" ready at the end of April.

Here's the progress from the last THREE weeks!!

Day 36

More Cabs, pics of garage door and finished brick...

Day 40

ALL interior doors AND closet shelves hung, shower tile started, second garage door hung, granite ordered!!

Day 41

Crown installed and all windows framed

Day 43

Master shower tile started

Day 44

Paint!

Day 47

Shower tile, laundry & bath floor tile laid, paint almost finished - some trim left

Day 49

Paint

Also...looks like we're getting neighbors!!

I think that's gonna leave a rut!!

Day 50

Day 51

Kitchen Cabs

Raegen is most excited about this ramp...poor guy thinks it's staying!! :)

Day 52

Stain cabs

Day 55

more kitchen cabs!! They're almost complete!! Kitchen tile grouted and master bath surround tiled

Day 56

Trenches dug for electric and plumbing lines,

cab shelves delivered for staining, more tile work on bath surround, Vinyl Day One!

Shortly after I took this picture, the vinyl guys packed up and left...so, we're on the hunt for new vinyl guys!! hahaha...

Sugar and Spice or Snakes and Snails?

Poll has closed. It's a BOY!!!

Take the poll located on the right side of the screen. Will we be having another baby boy or a baby girl? What do you think?

If it's any help, I haven't had any dreams {like I did with Raegen, dreaming I was having a boy} and I just don't have that "feeling" with this baby. I did have severe morning sickness that lasted through week 15, quite unlike my mild morning sickness that ended at week 12 with Raegen. That info may help or confuse you more! I'm anxious to see what everyone else thinks we're having.

Is baby #3 a boy or a girl?
